Hello everyone!
Thank you for choosing to be a part of our club e-mailing list. We are the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) National Honor Society Zeta Rho chapter at UC Irvine. Some of the main goals that we have for our members are to help promote leadership, high academic standards, and service by offering study sessions, community service events, and leadership positions that you decide on!
Our chapter was established, and we are the first one in the entire UC system and are currently the only active XAE chapter in California. We are mainly focused towards helping first-generation and/or low-income students in promoting academic success at UCI as well as future growth.. But that does not mean that we do not want to help promote the academic success of all the other students that are affiliated with a different population. By the end of the year, we will be hosting our very own induction ceremony in which qualified club members will be awarded for their efforts. The main requirement for the end of the year induction ceremony includes:
1. Maintain a 3.0 GPA for at least two consecutive quarters.
2. Be a first-generation and/or low-income college student.
3. Complete the chapter requirements needed to be an active member.
Please note again that even if you do not meet these requirements for the induction ceremony, you are still welcome and highly encouraged to participate in the club. We would love to help everyone as best as we can! In addition to all of these activities, you will also be able to meet some amazing and friendly students!
**An update regarding this quarter's meeting place will be sent out shortly as we are still in the process of booking room with ASUCI. However our general meetings for the Fall 2015 quarter will be on Wednesday 7:30PM to 8:30PM.
