Thank you to those who came out to our first weekly meeting! It was a success, as we welcomed new and returning members with information and free pizza. We introduced this year's XAE board, then dove right in to membership requirements and described what XAE has to offer.

What do we provide?
Membership Requirements
Membership allows for participation in weekly workshops, mentorship, and socials. In order to be eligible for induction (where you will be inducted into the chapter and received a certificate, pin, and tassel), these 2 requirements must first be met:
If students are unable to pay the fees by the deadline due to reasons other than inability to afford to, they are still welcome to attend events where XAE is not financially involved (i.e. general meetings, study sessions, fundraisers). Mentorship, potlucks, and socials are not available until dues are paid!
Induction Requirements
Members who have completed the following requirements will be recognized as high-achieving, low-income and/or first-generation students with a certificate, pin, decal, and cord to wear for graduation. Induction requirements are below:
**If payment of dues by the deadlines are difficult for the member, a payment plan can be discussed.
GPA Chord Program
Currently enrolled and officially inducted members are eligible to participate in this program during the academic years following their induction ceremony. This program exists to encourage growth in academic excellence and to honor students who continue to develop their grades annually. To do so, we award members a new cord (in addition to the blue and white cord received at induction) based on the GPA received at the end of that Winter Quarter.
Requirements to receive the additional cord include:
